Itinerary & Accommodation Itinerary & Accommodation

Day one: Fly into Sibiu and spend the day exploring the historic centre, filled with Gothic architecture and ornate medieval buildings. Don't miss out on a trip to the Brukenthal Museum. With over 1,000 masterpieces created by famous European artists, prepare to be awed.

Day two: The second day is dedicated to Sighisoara & Brasov - you'll be hard-pressed to pick your favourite. While Sighisoara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its historic, walled Old Town and 16th-century Clock Tower, Brasov's views will make you want to go snap happy with the camera. Surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, the town's stunning architecture is complemented by dramatic mountain scenery. It's one of Romania's most visited towns for a reason!

Day three: Dracula takes centre stage! Otherwise known as 'Dracula's' Castle, Bran's Castle is a favourite amongst tourists for its mysterious aura and the novel that surrounds the myth.

Day four: It's then time to travel onwards to Balea Lake and the Ice Hotel. Spend all morning at this incredible location. From snowball fights and snowboarding to ice bowling, it goes without saying you'll need to pack warm clothes. After exploring the Ice Hotel to your heart's content, you won't want to leave come afternoon when it's back to Sibiu for your flight home.

Accommodation:

Casa Luxemburg: In the historic centre of Sibiu, the three-star Casa Luxemburg's is a great introduction to Romania's seamless ability to mix old and new. Its beautiful 13th-century architectural elements plus modern commodities make it a great first stop on your trip.

Bella Muzica: Charming Bella Muzica is housed in a 17th-century building, so great that it bagged a 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Ice Hotel: This architectural feat is built every year from with ice and snow from the Balea Lake glacier. Ice Hotel is clearly like no other establishment! With igloos, snow rooms, and even an ice restaurant and church, it's the epitome of a winter wonderland.
