About this Cruise
This incredible cruise is sailing on Norwegian Jade, all fresh from her March 2017 multi-million dollar refit. After spending weeks in dry dock Norwegian Jade emerged with a new colour scheme, refurbished cabins and new restaurants and bars.
You'll be enjoying all inclusive onboard, which means complimentary dining in a wide choice of restaurants from the casual Garden Cafe to the first class Grand Pacific dining room. If you want to treat yourself there are also speciality restaurants offering everything from Brazilian barbecue to sushi onboard. And thanks to Norwegian’s ultimate drinks package you'll also be able to sip a whole range of cocktails, wines, beer and soft drinks free of charge too.
While you sail between the spectacular destinations on this itinerary you'll be able to relax at the Mandara Spa, or curl up with a book in the library if that's more your style. There are four hot tubs and a pool onboard, as well as an art gallery and tennis court. And if you like to be entertained you're in luck with a dazzling full-scale production of Blazing Boots performed regularly, as well as incredible acrobatics displays in the Elements production.
This sailing begins in Southampton before sailing straight to the charming Norwegian town of Bergen, and then to Alesund, which is known for both its art nouveau architecture, and for being the adventure capital of the Norwegian fjords.
You'll depart Norway and dock next at Lerwick, the main port of the Shetland Islands, located 100 miles off the UK mainland. Next up is Iceland's cool capital Reykjavik. The ship will stay here overnight so you'll have time to see the nation's famed volcanoes and geysers, or visit the Blue Lagoon. You'll be heading to Iceland's northern fishing town of Akureyri next, just 62 miles off the Arctic Circle!
You'll also get to visit the Orkney Isles on this trip, with a stop for Kirkwall where you can visit St Magnus Cathedral, first built when Orkney was ruled by the Vikings As you continue heading down the coast of the UK you'll call at Inverness, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, and historic Edinburgh. You'll also call in at lively Newcastle upon Tyne in England before it's finally time to disembark again in Southampton.
