Currently British Airways are the only airline offering direct Kingston flights. Three times a week they take off from London Gatwick, headed for the Jamaican capital. These flights from the UK to Kingston typically take just over 10 hours.
If you're not located in London, or you're looking for cheaper flights to Kingston, then you are better off looking at connecting routes. There are a number of airlines competing on this route, which drives down prices. Your most common option is to fly to Jamaica with a connection (or sometimes two) in the USA. Look out for cheap flights with the likes of American and Delta, who can usually get you to Kingston via big USA airport hubs like Atlanta, Miami or New York. Some European airlines can also fly you to Jamaica.
Be aware flying indirect will add more time; expect to spend 15 hours or more travelling to Kingston, though the exact time will depend on where you fly to and how long you have to wait between flights. Be aware connection times can be longer when you fly via the USA as you need to clear USA customs before you can catch a connecting flight.
After touchdown at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN), hail a taxi van, catch the Route 98 local bus or rent a car for the 25-minute drive into town; Jamaicans drive on the left, so cheap car hire in Kingston is a popular choice for British visitors.
One alternative, if you're just looking to find the best deals on travel to Jamaica, is to check flights to Montego Bay as well. This international airport on the northern shore is popular for charter flights and does receive direct flights from several UK airports. It's a scenic three-hour drive from Kingston, so a good opportunity for a holiday road trip!
