Habibi, Playa de las Vistas
If you’re a vegetarian then you know that Middle Eastern restaurants are usually a safe bet when it comes to finding a variety of plant-based menu items to choose from. This incredible eatery offers a vast selection of delicacies and serves a mixture of small and large plates, allowing you to order a few items from the menu and create your dream spread of Middle Eastern flavours. Not only is the menu huge, but the dishes are to die for, particularly the tabbouleh and stuffed grape leaves which we’ve been dreaming of ever since we first tried them last spring. This restaurant truly is a must-visit for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.
Friends, Playa del Camisón
As the name suggests, this laid-back restaurant has an incredibly welcoming and friendly atmosphere. You’ll find this eatery just steps away from the beautiful Playa del Camisón, making it a particularly popular lunchtime spot amongst afternoon beachgoers. The menu consists of a mixture of small and large plates, designed so that you can share a variety of dishes amongst the table, or have a plate to yourself. While there are a lot of meat and fish options available, you’ll also find a large selection of vegetarian-friendly dishes, including pizzas, pasta, tapas dishes and a truly phenomenal vegetarian paella.
Thai Botanico, Playa de las Américas
You’ll find this gourmet restaurant nestled upon the roof of the Safari Centre and decorated to perfection. Surrounded by towering bamboo and powder-pink cherry blossoms, this restaurant will transport you to Thailand before you’ve even glanced at the food options. Offering a lengthy menu with a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian-friendly dishes, Thai Botanico is almost certain to be a hit. Their fried tofu is cooked exquisitely and is an indulgent vegetarian accompaniment to curries and stir fries. If you love creamy and fragrant dishes with a kick of chilli, we recommend ordering the phad kati with tofu and glass noodles! Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

Harley’s, Adeje
Harley’s is an American-style eatery located in the heart of Adeje and just a short walk away from Playa de Fañabé. This retro restaurant specialises in classic American and Tex-Mex cuisine and offers a selection of vegetarian and vegan alternatives to their typically meat-heavy dishes. This includes a spicy bean burger, three bean and mushroom chilli and loaded house nachos, topped with fresh guacamole and sliced jalapeños, yum! This eatery also offers a children’s menu, dessert menu and an array of eclectic cocktails, making it a hit amongst couples and families alike. There are a number of vintage cars outside that have been refurbished into tables, meaning that you can dine in style. We recommend ordering the vegetarian chimichanga and visiting Harley’s on a Friday or Saturday night so that you can enjoy the live music.
