Not ready to break out your winter woollies just yet? You’re in luck! Though it may be cooling down in the UK, other parts of the world are just warming up… See temperatures soar in Sydney, laze on bleached white beaches in Cuba or take a dip in warm, crystal clear waters in Mauritius. You don’t have to say “so long” to summer just yet.
1. Sydney
Catch some waves and a tan in hot, sunny Sydney. The summer here is just getting started, so it’s a smart choice for holidaymakers looking to avoid the winter altogether. Learn to surf, soak in some culture at the Opera House or simply enjoy the gorgeous sunshine!
2. Portugal
You don’t have to travel long-haul to find temperature breaking the mid-20s. Head to Portugal to catch the last of the European summer, and a last minute tan. Take a cultured city break in the capital Lisbon, or seek sea and sand in the golden coves by Albufeira in the Algarve.
3. Sharm el Sheikh
Famed for stunning coral reef and incredible diving, Sharm el Sheikh isn’t just a summer holiday favourite. Many flock here from October to March for clear blue skies and temperatures reaching 31°C in October. Dive in for sunbathing, snorkelling and scuba diving throughout winter. 
4. Cyprus
Blue seas, sandy beaches and clear skies are not things you’d normally associate with winter, but that needn’t be if you head to Cyprus! Act fast to catch the last summer parties in Ayia Napa with 27°C sun. Make sure you fill up on Cypriot cuisine and spend plenty of time on the beach!
5. Mauritius
Mauritius sits in the middle of the Indian Ocean and is regarded as a holiday paradise! The tropical climate peaks during our winter, with temperatures rarely falling below 24°C. The island is covered in bleached white beaches, with clear waters perfect for scuba diving. 
6. Turkey
Turkey has an incredibly long and beautiful coastline, meaning you have even more room to sunbathe during the winter months. Temperatures are still hitting 26°C right now, so what are you waiting for? Head to the beach and take a dip along the aptly named Turquoise Coast!
7. Madeira
Madeira has much more to offer than wine (not that we’re complaining about the wine). The mercury is at 23°C right now, allowing for all sorts of fun holiday activities, from breath-taking mountain walks to dolphin and whale watching. Swap the cold for some fun in the sun!
8. Dubai
A bustling, modern city on the beach. Everything in Dubai is built on a staggering scale, from the world’s tallest building to a huge indoor skiing complex in the middle of the desert. Shop ’til you drop, laze on the beach in 37°C sunshine or explore the city’s rich cultural heritage. 
9. Florida
The heat in Florida stays in the high 20°s for most of the year, and the winter months are no exception. Take off to Miami for a week of crazy nightlife and excitement, go sailing or fishing in beautiful Florida Keys, or whisk the whole family away to Orlando to visit Disney World! 
10. Cuba
The sun in Cuba shines all year round, with October temperatures regularly hitting the mid 30°Cs. Take a trip to the fascinating capital Havana for a slice of the country’s amazing history, or simply spend your days relaxing on white sandy beaches beside crystal clear seas.
