You don’t have to be a millionaire to live like one. There exist certain establishments that have the look and feel of a swanky 5* hotel but actually cost around the £20 a night mark – welcome to the world of the luxury hostel! Here are five of the best:
Hilux Valencia Feet Up Hostel, Valencia
Each of the gorgeous balconied rooms in the Hilux are decorated with the creations of local artists. The small number of rooms and the surroundings of the ornate, historic Barrio El Carmen all contribute to the relaxed, fun atmosphere offered by the hostel. Daddy Long Legs Boutique Hotel is notorious for its bedrooms; each one in the old Victorian building has been envisioned by local artists and musicians so the entire place has an incredibly creative feel to it. Each double ensuite has its own private shower and a toilet The hostel has a fantastic on-site bar and an enormous flat screen TV (not that you should be watching it in, go out lazybones!)
