But, if you’re a little fed-up of hearing about the staycations we love, see what these popular celebs had to say about their glamorous UK getaways.
David Hasselhoff – Mid Wales
Let’s start strong, with none other than ‘The Hoff’ himself. David was in on the trend before 2020 even began, with a trip to Mid Wales for his 67th birthday last year. He stayed near the Elan Valley, which is part of the Cumbrian mountains and famous for being a wildlife haven.
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge – The Scilly Isles
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were busy working throughout lockdown with a packed schedule of zoom calls with key workers, various charities and the media, so we think they more than earned a break. The young royal family are rumoured to have holidayed on Tresco island in the Isles of Scilly, which is reportedly one of William’s favourite childhood holiday destinations. The area is known for its watersports activities and balmy summer weather.

Chris & Rosie Ramsey – The Yorkshire Dales
Fans of the award-winning podcast Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed, will be familiar with this funny Geordie couple. Comedian Chris Ramsey, his pregnant wife and their son took a trip in their new motorhome to the Yorkshire Dales and revealed all the hilarious details in their weekly podcast.
Stacey Solomon & Joe Swash – Devon
Celebs don’t get much more lovable than Stacey Solomon and her boyfriend Joe Swash and, Stacey was sharing her love for UK holidays after her Devon getaway. With some of the most spectacular coastline in the UK and delicious Devonshire cream teas on offer, we can see why!
Rochelle & Marvin Humes – Cornwall
Devon has some serious competition in beach hotspot Cornwall, which is where fellow TV personalities and musicians Rochelle and Marvin Humes chose for their 2020 family staycation. With miles of wild moorland and hundreds of sandy beaches to choose from, it’s a solid holiday choice, but beware of the crowds during the high season.
David Beckham – Oxfordshire
Now, this isn’t strictly a UK break as Becks has been rambling around Oxfordshire near the family pile, but once you see the smouldering walking photo series on his Instagram we’re sure you’ll forgive us… The countryside views and chance of bumping into a cardigan clad Becks make it well worth a visit in our books.
