The Cult of Beauty at the Wellcome Collection

183 Euston Rd., London NW1 2BE

26th October 2023 – 28th April 2024

Entry: Free

The notion of beauty can feel like a constraint, and yet, also like something that it’s hard not to strive for. It’s something that many of us feel a little obsessed by. However, this collection by the Wellcome Collection is here to show how diverse ideas of beauty are around the globe and across time, helping to move us away from the idea of a universal beauty. It’s liberating and more than a little inspiring.

Drink in:

The Standard, 10 Argyle St, London WC1H 8EG

Located on the 10th floor of The Standard, Sweeties has the sort of moody lighting and sumptuous decor that makes it great for both dates and catch ups with friends where you spill all of your most sordid secrets, all over a cocktail or two of course. The bar is presided over by a huge disco ball and DJs play music until the early hours (2:30am) from Thursday to Saturday each week. If you want to end your night out on a high, both literally and metaphorically, then you’ll want to head here!
