The Lamb Tavern Christmas Party

10-12 Leadenhall Market, London EC3V 1LR

When: 4pm – 11pm on 12th December

The Lamb Tavern has a scenic location in the famous arches under Leadenhall Market, making it a festive spot for a drink any time in the run up to Christmas. However, tomorrow things get altogether more cheery thanks to the Christmas party they’re hosting. You’ll find mulled wine and Turkey scotch eggs, all accompanied by the sound of a wandering brass brand. Entry is free so pop in for as long as you like!

Eat At:

Lodge d’Argent

1 Poultry, London EC2R 8EJ

The swanky Coq d’Argent rooftop has transformed into a French ski lodge for the winter season, giving it a cosy, festive feel. The terrace is heated so you won’t feel chilly, and furs line each chair. The menu has seen an overhaul too and you’ll find hot cocktails sitting alongside a baked boite chaude for that raclette-style indulgence. Be aware that this is an upscale spot so drinks are rather spenny, but it’s ideal for those on the hunt for somewhere special for date night before Christmas.

Sing Carols In:

St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey

St Margaret St, London SW1P 3JX

When: 6pm on the 14th December

Cost: £25

For Christmas carols in the most scenic of settings, head on over to St Margaret’s Church in Westminster Abbey this Thursday. All of your favourite carols will be led by the church’s choir and participation is very much encouraged. There are celebrity readings and the Lord Mayor of Westminster will be in attendance too. While the ticket price is on the more expensive side, it’s actually a charity donation and goes towards helping rough sleepers in London this winter. Charity is an important part of Christmas after all!
