The swanky Coq d’Argent rooftop has transformed into a French ski lodge for the winter season, giving it a cosy, festive feel. The terrace is heated so you won’t feel chilly, and furs line each chair. The menu has seen an overhaul too and you’ll find hot cocktails sitting alongside a baked boite chaude for that raclette-style indulgence. Be aware that this is an upscale spot so drinks are rather spenny, but it’s ideal for those on the hunt for somewhere special for date night before Christmas.

For Christmas carols in the most scenic of settings, head on over to St Margaret’s Church in Westminster Abbey this Thursday. All of your favourite carols will be led by the church’s choir and participation is very much encouraged. There are celebrity readings and the Lord Mayor of Westminster will be in attendance too. While the ticket price is on the more expensive side, it’s actually a charity donation and goes towards helping rough sleepers in London this winter. Charity is an important part of Christmas after all!
