Indulge your inner dark side with a trip to this quarterly satanic flea market held in Islington’s Electrowerkz. Here, you’ll find all manner of curious and sometimes gruesome things to buy: think taxidermy, tarot cards and occult trinkets. There’s an onsite bar and restaurant too so grab a drink to enjoy while you peruse the stalls.

Little Georgia is something of a London institution, its khachapuri is the sort of dish that your foodie friends will ask if you’ve ever tried as you drink pints in the pub. And try it you should, we recommend the cheese-stuffed variety which is indulgent, slightly tangy, and made for sharing, but frankly, all the varieties are great. There are main dishes here, the poussin in particular comes with rave reviews, but this is the sort of place best enjoyed with a rowdy group of friends, where you have the chance to share and try a little bit of everything.

Finding somewhere with enough atmosphere to be buzzy, but quiet enough to bag a table is something of a challenge in bustling Islington. However, The Island Queen tucked away on Noel Road offers up just that. It’s a fuss-free pub with a focus that’s firmly on drinks—just how all good pubs should be. This Victorian pub maintains some of its original features, from etched glass to a Lincrusta ceiling, giving a historic feel to your much-deserved pint.
