The Red Shoes: Beyond the Mirror at The Blue Room in BFI Southbank
Free entry, until 7th January
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the release of the cinematic classic The Red Shoes, which was based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale and starred prima ballerina Moira Shearer. The BFI Southbank is celebrating this milestone with a new immersive exhibition that will feature costumes, production designs, scripts, behind-the-scenes photographs and posters and—of course—the actual red ballet shoes worn in the film. While it is free to enter this exhibit, it’s recommended that you book a time slot in advance!
