Solstice at Battersea Arts Centre

1-24 December 2023

Tickets from £8, or pay what you can on certain dates

Battersea Arts Centre will be transformed into an enchanting woodland wonderland this December, as it teams up with the festival events group Wild Rumpus. Visitors will be invited to explore all of the intriguing spaces in the building and follow an immersive seasonal story featuring magical illuminated creatures. Afterwards, you can head on over to Santa’s Grotto in the centre’s mini North Pole for the perfect end to the ultimate festive day!

Eat:

Arcade at Battersea Power Station

Food halls are a brilliant way of keeping everyone happy when it comes to eating out, and you’ll find the second outpost of the retro chic Arcade food hall in the recently developed Battersea Power Station. The sprawling site means that you’re pretty much always guaranteed a seat, and then when you’re settled, there are 13 different cuisines to choose from! From tacos and Taiwanese fried chicken to the cult Manna smash burgers, the hardest part of a visit here is deciding what to go for!

Drink:

JOIA Bar at  art’otel Battersea Power Station

With its pops of colour and pretty pastel touches, JOIA Bar on the 14th floor of the art’otel is a special spot to enjoy a tipple or two while looking out across the Battersea Power Station. The signature cocktail list features an array of experimental concoctions inspired by precious gems from the Iberian region; for example, the Onix is made up of Gin Mahon, lychee, rose, citrus and squid ink. There are Spanish snacks to nibble on too, including padron peppers and Iberico croquetas, making for a little taste of summer even in the depths of the UK winter.
