Portola Trail
posted by ygottwine I love city breaks but also hiking so I like to try and combine the two. I loved this 5 mile walk around the Elysian Park. We printed off directions from the internet here. Enjoy! Escondido Falls
posted by cbeals We needed a break from the urban scene so we went to seek out this waterfall. Beautiful scenery leads to it so it's a real treat to make the walk, and then the waterfall is lovely. Not much water in May but i'm sure if you go nearer to winter it might get really impressive!! Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area
posted by pdean It's hard to believe you're in LA when you get lost on the hiking trails here! Really lovely place to go for an unusual day trip and you can let the kids off the leash to run off their energy too. Malibu
posted by mhoward As a surfer I've long since coveted a holiday in LA where I could go and hang out (and hopefully surf) here. It was as awesome as i'd hoped and I even got to surf Zuma Beach, spiritual home of my trusty minimal which sadly couldn't make the trip. Disneyland
posted by yludwig The original Disneyland has some sort of magical powers i think, as I can't quite define why I love it so much but I just do. Maybe it's the childhood reminders, or the Cinderella castle, but I just love it. GO! |
Los Angeles' urban sprawl is the heart of west coast living. Huge highways choked with famous traffic jams meet glamorous greenery of high-gated mansions in Beverly Hills, contrasted again with the towering skyscrapers in the financial district and the sun soaked boulevards of Santa Monica. Nobody walks anywhere in LA so cheap Los Angeles car hire is a must. You can arrange to pick up car hire from Los Angeles Airport with ease and as long as you plan your travelling to avoid rush hours it should be easy to navigate the city without getting trapped in too much congestion. You can enjoy cheap holidays in Los Angeles and still see the best that the city has to offer. There are cheap Los Angeles hotels throughout the city but you will need to organise car hire. Los Angeles' big draws such as Disney Land, Universal Studios and Hollywood's walk of fame all attract millions of visitors each year, but they are spread out, so you'll need car hire in Las Vegas to visit them all. Many people choose to pick up a star map and find out where their favourite actors live whilst others head to the beach or onto Santa Monica pier for fun in the sun.Hiring A Car In Los Angeles
