Organ Concert
posted by ybraun We went to the sunday afternoon organ concert at Eglise St Sulpice and it was delightful. We could look at all the lovely frescoes and hear the beautiful notes of the huge organ. Cathedrale St-Pierre
posted by nmarshall Beautiful but unfinished, this Cathedral is an enigma. Go for the architecture and the two clocks, the oldest chiming clock in the world and a solar clock. They put on a sound and light show a few times a day too so try and see it, it's especially great for the kids. Chapelle de la Medaille Miraculeuse
posted by cshaner Such a charming place! I love the history, the pilgrims, the beauty of the interior, it's my favourite place to come for some reflection away from my normally hectic schedule when i'm in wonderful Paris! Hidden Canal Tour
posted by jhegarty Wonderful! We went at night and the light was simply magical! I never knew there were so many waterways here but then I guess the tour wouldn't be "hidden canals" without them! Musee d'Orsay
posted by kllora Lovely re-purposing of a station, so much to see and do here and the whole feel of the place is so much more relaxed than the frantic WE HAVE TO SEE IT ALL pace of the Louvre. Great collection, and they always have fun and exciting temporary exhibits too. |
Romance is always in the air in the French capital whether you are a first time visitor or a seasoned veteran of its alluring streets. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe attest to Paris' architectural importance whilst the food, wine and music will lure you away from spending any time in the cheap hotels Paris has to offer. Paris is like a magnet for visitors and so it is no surprise to find that its roads can become clogged at times, with a chaotic system making driving in the centre somewhat taxing. However, the car hire Paris Airport provides will give you the opportunity to rent a vehicle once your Paris flights have touched down so that you can explore more of the city behind the wheel. Famed for its museums, galleries and monuments, you might think that Paris is all about high culture rather than broad appeal. However, places such as the Moulin Rouge prove there is more to this city than meets the eye. It is expensive, but the prices you pay for dining and drinking are comparable to the world's other main capitals and with car rental in Paris you can find less frequently visited areas.Hiring A Car In Paris
