Bahrain is home to the UNESCO world heritage site of Qalat Al Bahrain. In Manama, visitors can also attend the Bahrain National Museum which houses artefacts from throughout the 9,000 year history of the island. Bahrain plays host to a Formula One championship race at the Bahrain International Circuit, so motor fans may want to time their visit to coincide with this event.
