Although not incredibly cheap Bermuda flights do leave directly from London Gatwick. If you're on a tight budget, cheap flights to Bermuda do leave from a number of US cities so it's worth checking to see if you can get a cheap flight into the USA and an onward connection for less than a flight from the UK. Whether your trip is expensive or cheap Bermuda flights all land at the international airport which is near to St George, and although there is no car hire available there are plenty of taxis and buses to take you to your hotel.
With no car hire from Bermuda Airport, the public transport system in Bermuda is excellent, with frequent buses taking visitors to all parts of the island. Bus stops are marked by pink and blue poles, the pink poles signifying buses travelling into Hamilton and blue for those travelling away.
The town of St George is a UNESCO world heritage site and full of British Colonial buildings, gardens and fountains. In Flatts Village you'll find the island's zoo, aquarium and museum, whilst at Baileys Bay the Fantasy and Crystal caves are beautiful natural wonders to explore.
