Tens of thousands of tourists a year flock to the resorts and cheap Hurghada hotels seeking holidays with guaranteed sunshine and an ebullient, boisterous spirit. They are rarely disappointed and many more travellers get to experience the area on their way through to Egypt's other hotspots. A five and a half to six hour flight to Hurghada awaits inbound UK tourists. Hurghada International Airport is only three miles from the town centre and so after Hurghada flights you will have a very short onward transfer if you are booked into local accommodation. If you don't want to use the transfer services offered by most resorts then opt for cheap Hurghada car hire once your Hurghada flights have arrived at the airport, as this will let you trek around as you see fit. Alternatively there are many taxis awaiting those who disembark from cheap flights to Hurghada and many resorts will get you a cab or point you in the direction of a bus for onward travel. As Hurghada is situated in prime position on the Red Sea it is unlikely that you will want to see or do anything which does not in some way involve the ocean. Many tourists take an underwater tour, partaking in diving and snorkelling.
