posted by banana maschu maschu is a kebab restaurant(!) - yes it's a restaurant. And it is said that I got the best Kebab and Falafel in Vienna. It got a great atmosphere and it's really cheap. €3 for a Falafel sandwich with 'Sauerkraut' and €6 for a whole meal. |
As with many European cities the historic side of Vienna is never far from sight as monuments and architecture remind visitors of its past glories. It is still a wonderful place to stay with museums containing great works to entertain you for a few hours before you pick a bar or cafe for a drink and a chat. Average Vienna flights from the UK will take around 2 hours and 20 minutes, with cheap flights to Vienna International Airport leaving you just 11 miles from the city centre, which makes transfers swift and painless. Vienna flights depart regularly from most airports. With the U-Bahn train system integrated with public buses and trams it is easy to pick up a ticket and hop on and off at leisure. There are Vienna car hire providers located at the airport or in the city but be wary of one-way roads and remember that trams have right of way over all other vehicles. If you are feeling particularly healthy there is a bike hire option and hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths to enjoy, although Vienna hotels may not accommodate cycles if you are renting for more than a day. The cathedral of Stephansdom is one of Vienna's most imposing and appealing buildings, whilst the self-explanatory Museum Quarter houses artistic masterpieces and a handful of excellent bars for some post-viewing reflection. A flight to Vienna will bring you to a city which was home to Mozart, Beethoven and many more, and its inspirational qualities are still apparent to today's visitors.Flights To Vienna
