The capital city of Jamaica, land of rum and Bob Marley, Kingston is a hub of laid back culture, friendly locals and fantastic, fresh food. Kingston holidays are unforgettable experiences, and with so many cheap holidays to Kingston to choose from, there's never been a better time to visit.

How To Get To Kingston

For cheap flights to Kingston, the closest airport is the Norman Manley International Airport, which is served by various international airlines as well as several Caribbean airlines. The Kingston Tinson Pen Airport is closer to Kingston but is much smaller, operating 14-seater flights to and from Montego Bay with Jamaica Air Shuttle. From the airport, taxis are easily available but you should be prepared to negotiate on price. Car hire from Kingston Airport is also available, and the bus network has recently been redeveloped to a very high standard.

Where To Stay In Kingston

Kingston is a fairly large city, particularly for such a small island as Jamaica. It's divided into two sides, 'downtown' and 'uptown' Kingston, and uptown is also known as 'New Kingston.' The city is further split into zip codes, which can be used to identify hotel locations. Many of the best hotels, both budget and luxury, are situated in Kingston 5 and 6, although little known treasures can be found across the city.

What To Do In Kingston

With such a vibrant culture to explore, no holidays in Kingston are ever dull. To truly appreciate Jamaican culture, the National Gallery of Jamaica is certainly worth a visitor, or check out Port Royal for a taste of Jamaica's real pirate history. Of course, no Kingston holidays are complete without a sample of traditional Jamaican cuisine.
