If you're lucky enough to be able to avoid the school holidays then the best time for a cheap holiday in Menorca is in the months either side of summer, particularly May, June, September and October. The peak months of July and August can be very hot and the prices can be sky high so they may be best avoided. If you don't care about the sunshine and you're just after super cheap holidays in Menorca then you could travel in March, April or November but beware the Mediterranean winter which can be damp and not particularly warm.
With over 100 beaches there are no prizes for guessing why most people choose a holiday to Menorca. Hidden coves and beaches abound but if you want to check out some of the prettiest try Cala en Turqueta and Cala Galdana in the south of the island. Aside from sunbathing and swimming in the clear waters there aren't a huge amount of 'don't miss' items on your holiday to Menorca. However, Mahon the capital does have some fascinating historical remnants of the many battles to control this once strategically important island. The city is well worth exploring and the large harbour offers a very attractive stroll.
