Corfu is the most popular island in the Ionian chain that lies to the northwest of Greece, but it still has abundant natural beauty. When to go What to do Where to stay Once you've found your ideal hotel in Corfu, use our search to grab a cheap flight , or book them together by searching for a Corfu holiday package.
Corfu is always hot in July and August but as this is also the peak tourist season it can be hard to find a good hotel deal. For good weather and kinder prices try the months either side of summer (September, October, May and June) as you're more likely to find a cheap Corfu hotel. Winter definitely offers the best deals, but there's no guarantee of great weather so be careful saving those extra pounds if you want to get a tan!
Corfu has lots of fantastic beaches, but if you want to avoid the worst of the overdevelopment, crowding and bad behaviour try to avoid the resorts of Ypsos, Gouvia, Sidari and Kavos. Those wanting a more civilised holiday in Corfu should head to Agnos, Kalami and Agios Stefanos where there's a much less 'Brits abroad' feel. Once you've had your fill of the beach try heading for the attractive Corfu town which dates back to the fourteenth century when it was laid out by the Venetians.
The Kontokali Bay Hotel, Corfu offers 5 star luxury at the top end of the market. In the mid range you'll be spoilt for choice and the Villa De Loulia is reasonable and has great reviews. The budget end is extremely well catered for and the likes of the Coral Hotel, Corfu is cheap and gets good reviews.
