If you want to try some authentic Arabic/Lebanese food in a traditional setting, then this is the place for you. Kan Zaman is located on the Dubai Creek's Bur Dubai shore, right down by the water's edge. Only a few hundred meters further, and the creek spills out into the Persian Gulf. Watch as the ... more

My wife loves being pampered, that is why when we were in Dubai she made sure to visit the Talise Spa. While expensive, she says it is worth every penny, and she was pampered in luxury that she claims is difficult to find in the United States. She especially enjoyed her facial, saying it was her b ... more

In addition to being a hot spot of the rich and famous jetsetters, Dubai has an amazing and rich culture that its visitors should also take the time to experience. If you are looking for a sweet treat, be sure to check out Bacio Gelato in Al Barsha. They have the best gelato outside of Italy. There is nothing better than a gelato that has premium ingredients that are hand picked and as fresh as possible. It is an amazing treat.

dealchecker's guide to Dubai

Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is a destination that almost defies belief. It has an amazing coastline dominated by two man-made islands, miles of sandy beaches, desert and unbelievable shopping. Find yourself a Dubai hotel deal and you?ll be on your way to one of hottest holiday destinations.

When to go
Dubai's sub-tropical climate almost guarantees sunshine. The hottest times are May, June, July, August and September and it really does get hot! However this may offer you the best chance of finding a cheap hotel in Dubai. The coolest months are December to April and the offer of winter sun is a magnet for visitors from colder climates, but this makes it harder to find a bargain.

Where to stay
For the utmost in luxury look no further than the Burj Al Arab, Hotel Dubai. The Grosvenor House Hotel, Dubai offers 5-star luxury at more reasonable prices whilst the Oasis Beach Hotel is in the mid-range and gets good reviews. Dubai is an upmarket destination and hotel prices reflect this.

What to do
Dubai is a shoppers' paradise! There are many souks (markets) where you can haggle on the price of everything from electrical goods to rugs. The real draw however is the great bargains at the gold market.

Once you've shopped to your heart's content, you could take one of the organised trips into the desert or visit the historic centres and as the temperature drops in the evening why not take a stroll and enjoy cocktails at sunset before dining in one of the Moroccan restaurants.

After you've found your ideal hotel in Dubai, use our search to find a cheap flight , or book both together by searching for a Dubai holiday package.
