Fishing
posted by dburney My wife decided sunbathing was all she needed to do on us holidays so I found myself a fisherman who took me out and let me fish all day. It wasn't quite as peaceful as at home because obviously he had a living to make, but I got to eat a fish i'd caught that evening so I was pretty chuffed! Glass Bottomed Boat
posted by vlauffer We went here because it was great for a cheap family holiday but we wanted the kids to experience some of the beauty of the reefs without the danger of snorkelling so this was the perfect solution. Quad Safari
posted by hwatson We took a trip into the desert with a group on quad bikes and went to see a bedwin tribe where we drank tea and smoked a sheesh. Supercool! Giftun Islands
posted by gloewentsein Total paradise. Gorgeous white sands and a sea so full of fish you can just wade around and then stand still and wait for them to all start swimming around you! And then when you go scuba diving....there are no words! Old Vic Beach
posted by mbellinger Our personal favourite beach on our holiday, stuff to do, great waters, lovely snorkelling and friendly people, oof and sun, what more could you need on your holiday! |
Until fairly recently the Egyptian town of Hurghada was just a little fishing village, but it's now become one of the Red Sea's most important tourist resorts with a variety of Hurghada holidays on offer. This is not only a leading centre for water sports, especially diving and snorkelling, but also has superb beaches for a more relaxing stay. The nightlife is great here and the town really comes to life after dark. A good range of Hurghada hotels means there's suitable accommodation for every taste and budget. Use our search facility to find exactly the right place for your stay. There's information on both expensive and cheap hotels in Hurghada, many of which have their own restaurants and leisure facilities. In Hurghada hotels are often located on the sea front with their own private beach. The hottest months are June, July and August when temperatures can regularly reach 40°C. If heat is your thing, this is the time to go. Hurghada has a good strong breeze which makes the heat a little less intense than Sharm el Sheik. April's average temperatures of 30°C may be kinder especially for those with young children. Many people like to come in January or November when it's still warm during the day, but you may just need to slip on a jumper or cardigan during the evenings. There are plenty of cheap hotels in Hurghada year round but outside the peak tourist summer season you may find it easier to book your flight to Hurghada. If you're looking for a great hotel Hurghada has a wide range of accommodation.Choosing a Hurghada Hotel
