Key Largo is an island in the Florida Keys. The coral archipelago starts at the tip of the Florida peninsula, south of Miami, with plenty of smaller islands in the chain - Key West the most westerly of the islands. It was only possible to reach the islands by boat until the Florida East Coast Railway joined the islands with bridges. Today, the islands are joined by a US highway.
