A knightly name and a knightly design too, this is quite some building. We were staying right near it in the Medieval town so it was like a beacon to us on our way home!!

 Kos Folk Museum

A lovely and unpretentious place that really shows off what the island used to be like before tourism took over. Great.

The mosaics of the House of Europe were my highlight here but it was so interesting to see all the other parts of the complex too. It's being beautifuly restored at the moment so i'm keen to go back and see it again.

What a majestic place, such a shame that there aren't more jews to enjoy it, but we went to a lovely play put on here. Definitely worth seeking out.

Our favourite spot on the whole of Kos, largely beacuse you can see the whole of Kos from it. Amazing view. Also, they have some lovely little shops there with art and pottery so you can take something a little different home with you as a memento.

dealchecker's guide to Kos

The beautiful Greek island of Kos has 180 miles of glorious coastline and is certainly not short of beaches. There are long open stretches of sand with good facilities such as bars and cafes, as well as many secluded bays and coves. There are plenty of cheap hotels in Kos, although if you are looking for something luxurious there is a great choice of prestigious Kos hotels that can cater for your needs.

Choosing A Kos Hotel

Online search facilities enable you to search a large number of expensive, medium priced and cheap hotels in Kos. There are different reasons for taking holidays to Kos and you should give some careful thought to the location of your hotel, in order to make sure you have a perfect holiday. If you are planning on making the most of the nightlife here, the town of Kardamena should be your destination, as it is full of bars, clubs and pubs. Kos Town is also lively, but has a much more sophisticated atmosphere, with plenty of romantic restaurants and upmarket bars. Kefalos is an attractive town with traditional white houses and ancient ruins, but also has a purpose built resort, Kamari, where you will find great eating and drinking opportunities.

When To Visit Kos

The summer months do get hot here, with temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees between June and September. Ideal if you like the heat, but many people prefer to come in the spring and autumn and even the winters are mild with temperatures of around 10 degrees in January and December. Outside the peak season cheap flights to Kos are easier to find.
