Because it is such a large and popular city, Lisbon hotels tend to vary in terms of their price and faculties; some hotels in the city have lots of additional luxuries, such as concierge services, conference rooms and swimming pools, whilst other cheap hotels in Lisbon have a simpler approach, with all the basic amenities and clean, comfortable rooms. One of the benefits of the cheap hotels in Lisbon is that one has a little bit extra to spend on the great markets and independent boutiques in the city. One can easily find an affordable flight to Lisbon at any time of the year, so budget need not affect when one travels to the city. In terms of weather, the city is sunny and hot all year round, although it does cool down slightly in the winter. The most pleasant weather tends to occur from February to May each year. Having said this, summer is a great time to visit the city, in terms of the festivals that are held during these months.
