Formerly known as Bombay by the English, the city of Mumbai is bustling with life wherever you go so it's not surprising to realise that it's one of the most populated cities on the planet. What used to be made up of seven islands and a large fishing community is now India's richest city and the entertainment and commercial capital of the country. So it will come as no shock to learn that Mumbai hotels are in abundance and if you are on the lookout for cheap hotels in Mumbai you will not have to look far. Picking cheap hotels in Mumbai is not a problem as there are real bargains to be had all over the place. As always it is best to book these in advance for a more preferential rate. It's best to avoid big festivals too as the best cheap Mumbai hotels will be booked far in advance for these dates. This cosmopolitan city has a tropical climate with the rains peaking in July. The dry season runs from October to May and this is the time when Mumbai flights are at their most productive. It can get extremely hot and humid though so for cheap holidays in Mumbai it's probably best to go there during the monsoon season which starts in May and goes on until the last weeks of September.Choosing a Mumbai Hotel
