Whatever kind of traveller you are – everyone can agree on a jaunt to a beach. But there is a way to take your beaching experience to the next level, add another of our favourite holiday ingredients – the club… From chilled-out vibes to partying all night long, there is a beach club to suit everybody’s needs. With their aesthetic designs making for oodles of enviable Instagram throwbacks – sure to last you for years to come – and parties frequented on a regular basis by the jet set, these bars on the beach are a must-visit this summer.
Finns Beach Club – Bali

It’s becoming a rite of passage for young travellers to set their sights on Bali during their gap year, and we must admit, it is easy to see why! Offering effortlessly cool beaches, fabulous food and spellbinding sunsets, this Indonesian island boasts obvious draws. One spot where you can make the most of all these things and more is Finns Beach Club. With four pools, nine bars – two of which are swim-up bars – and five restaurants you could quite easily spend your entire trip at Finns. There are daily DJs and vocalists, playing day and night, as well as surfers riding the waves until after the sun goes down. A trip to Seminyak truly wouldn’t be complete without a visit to this chilled-out beach club.
Nikki Beach – Marbella
Started in South Beach, Miami, the Nikki Beach brand has grown massively over 20 years, with glamorous beach clubs popping up all over the world. One of the best – in our opinion – is the Marbella edition. With day beds overlooking the Costa del Sol, tables laid for dinner on the soft sand and plinky music playing across the azure pool, everybody who’s anybody will want to visit. But that’s not all – book your visit at the right time and you may be treated to a very special performance. Nikki Beach is famed for its jazzed-up renditions of modern songs, with classical music performers playing the sounds of the saxophone, violin and trumpet over the summer’s biggest hits!
Scorpios – Mykonos

This modern beach club is an Instagrammers dream backdrop: boasting palm trees, natural tones and dry-stone walls, Scorpios’ bohemian aura is woven into the rattan furniture that fills every inch of this swanky beach club. Daily sunset rituals soak the venue in golden light, but until then, there is a whole lot to get up to! Whether you are looking for a chilled gathering or in need of a party then Scorpios is Mykonos’ premier spot to do so. With the international jet set hopping straight off the plane and over to Scorpios, we think this is a beach club that you need to keep your eye on.
Blue Marlin – Ibiza

A popular haunt for the rich and famous, Blue Marlin Ibiza is one of the most stunning beach clubs in the Med. Set on a pebble beach this premier destination truly puts the ‘club’ in beach club. With world famous DJs performing on a daily basis and a jetty out to the water, Blue Marlin is equal measures beach party extravaganza and Insta-influencer’s dream. Here, people like to watch the sun go down, before partying way into the small hours.
Drift Beach – Dubai

Another popular haunt for the influencers of the world, Dubai has plenty of glitzy and glamorous beach clubs waiting to tickle your fancy. One image you will almost certainly recognise is the decadent decoration at Drift Beach Club. With views of the Palm Jumeirah and the high-rise skyscrapers of the city, this beach club is one of the most ostentatious spots on our list. Pretty much every beach babe who visits Dubai will be snapped, striking a pose in the regal archway that frames the city and beach beyond. If you visit – be sure to pack your most glamorous bikini!
Fenix – Cartagena

We’re pretty sure that Billy McFarland had this beach club on his dream board – because it looks like Fyre festival gone… right! A day pass to Fenix Beach club will see you hop onto a boat in Santa Cruz Marina and be transported to a tropical island paradise in just 15 minutes. On arrival you’ll enjoy a welcome drink, lunch, activities on the beach and, like in every good beach club, wonderful music. We won’t lie – this beach club is definitely more low-key than some of the others on our list, but that might just make it that bit cooler! It’s under the radar, but that’s why we like it.
Maçakizi – Bodrum
The word beach club may be slightly misleading with this one, as strictly there is no beach. The Maçakizi Bodrum is literally right on the water so maybe ‘seaclub’ would be more appropriate? Here, you could quite literally hang your feet off your sunbed and dunk them into the Med. While many of our other favourite beach clubs are party focused, the Maçakizi is all about chilled vibes, good food and refreshing drinks. If you are looking for understated glamour, this is the beach club for you, but do not fret, there is a fantastic atmosphere and the interiors make for uber-glam snaps to make your friends jealous!
