Saving Money in Israel

British Airways, easyJet, EL AL Israel Airlines and Jet2 all run direct flights to Israel from the UK , but make sure you book well ahead of time to get the best prices. These flights go directly to Tel Aviv, so if your destination is Haifa, Jerusalem or any other part of the country, then you may want to look into getting public transport (bus or train travel) from Tel Aviv to your destination, rather than hiring a car, which can be quite pricey. But, if you do want to hire a car, then make sure you book it well in advance to keep costs down.

When to Go to Israel

If you're hoping for sun and lots of it from a holiday to Israel, visiting between July and August won't disappoint but just bear in mind it'll be very hot. March to May is noticeably cooler making it an ideal time to explore the country, in fact the Galilee and the Golan regions will be in full bloom at this time and make for a spectacular sight,. Come November though, things turn cold and wet. Israel plays host to numerous religious festivals throughout the year, so it's worth checking what's on when as things can get very busy and hotels in Israel can be as much as 20% more expensive.
