What’s Your Budget For Summer Sun?

With winter dragging on, thoughts here are turning to what we’ll spend our summer holiday doing – and there are some great early booking offers available at the moment! Now, we know money can be a bit tight at this time of year, which is why we’ve collected together some great holiday ideas at very tidy prices. And don’t worry, there will be no “one night is a holiday” nonsense here as we’ll be focussing on prices for seven night stays!

Under £100 per person

A holiday under £100 per person is perfectly doable, you just need to think self-catering so that you can cook at home just like you would…er…at home! We’ve been spotting deals for holiday parks and static caravan parks all over the UK with prices starting from around £50 per person, based on four sharing. The great thing about these parks is that they are set-up for family holidays so your kids will have new friends on the doorstep, and you’ll find them in stunning locations around the country.

Been there done that? Try Northern France – look out for early booking ferry offers and take your own car over on the cheap.

If guaranteed sunshine, lovely beaches and a warm sea are the main points on your 2013 holiday tick list then perhaps it’s time to revisit an old favourite – the Costa del Sol. With resorts both large (like Benalmadena and Torremolinos) and small (like Estepona) offering great value all inclusive resorts there’s no excuse to miss out on some sunshine this year. Steer clear of Puerto Banus and the nearby beaches unless you have deeper pockets, this is a popular celeb-spotting area and prices are much higher here.

Been there done that? The beaches of Tuscany are often overlooked, and whilst the flights may be slightly more expensive, find yourself a self-catering villa and enjoy cooking with the delicious local produce to save.

If we hadn’t seen it with our own eyes in this week’s Real Deals we also wouldn’t have thought we could get a five-star hotel AND all inclusive board for under £300 each. But you most certainly can, thanks to Greek islands like Kos and Rhodes stepping up for 2013. We’ve seen plenty of holidays to these two stunning islands available at the moment, but you’re going to have to be quick because prices like these won’t last forever!

Been there done that? Tunisia’s resorts like Hammamet and Sousse offer plenty of beach space as well as some stunning sights like the 15th century Medina in Hammamet.

Take a boat out on the sparkling waters in Marmaris

Popular resorts in Turkey range from the relaxed and family-friendly such as Antalya and Olu Deniz to louder party resorts like Marmaris and Bodrum but they all have one thing in common – great cheap holidays! We’ve seen plenty of deals that come in under the £400 mark by quite some way, leaving you a little cash to go to a water park, have a night (or two) on the tiles, or to treat yourself to a Turkish bath.

Been there done that? Head to Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, where Sunny Beach is the party central equivalent, but there are plenty of smaller places to stay too that are popular with hippies and those after a quiet slice of sunshine.
